Free BBQ Downloads

Free BBQ provides a number of downloadable resources to assist in the running of a competition. These resources are available under a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-ND 4.0) licence. Printing and even selling them commercially is encouraged, modifying them (eg. to add your competition details or sponsors logos) is strictly not permitted. Modified competition resources will be rejected by competition officials - particularly the addition of sponsor logos, please don't put yourself or your officials in that position.

A4 sheets can be printed with a LASER printer and guillotined into sheets. Do not print these resources with inkjet printers. A tiny amount of moisture (such as a sauce smudge) will make inkjet printouts bleed everywhere and create an epic mess.

Judging plates must be printed with food grade materials and inks, which is bit restrictive for doing it yourself. We recommend printed plates available for purchase from our recommended printers. Our recommended "do it yourself" option for a small informal (eg. mates in a backyard) competition is gloss-coated A3 paper, which can be purchased from most office supply stores. Fold the paper in half, then into thirds to achieve 6 distinct zones.
